Colony Club

Colony Club is a new neighborhood restaurant, bar, and ping-pong club in the Park View neighborhood of Washington D.C.

Colony, as a business, strives to incorporate an international sensibility to hospitality, food/drink, entertainment, and sport. We worked together to design and develop the foundation of the core brand identity, along with full creative direction and how it extends to the interior design, architecture, and brand/customer experience. We worked in both New York and D.C. to create the original concept and ensure Colony’s overall cohesiveness is unique, full of personality, and most of all, true & authentic.

We drew inspiration from Japanese coffee culture, 60's Ivy League style, French New Wave film and a late 60's sporting and leisure aesthetic.

The logo type is custom designed and may take on multiple lock up forms. The emphasis of the brand is placed on the name "Colony" rather than a single mark or lock up.

We drew color and texture inspiration from the variety of tennis court clay as well as vintage ping-pong paddles.
